  6. EZ Download 96 is a plug-in that makes downloading programs a snap.

  64. Netscape saves .zip and .exe files in the folder pointed to by
  65. the TEMP environment variable.
  66.  
  67. The Windows default for the TEMP setting is C:\DOS, which is messy if not
  68. dangerous.
  69.  
  70. To change the TEMP setting to C:\Windows\temp for example, insert the
  71. following line in C:\autoexec.bat:
  72.  
  73. set temp=C:\Windows\temp
  74.  
  75.  
  76. Once Netscape finishes downloading the .zip or the .exe, EZ Download
  77. unzips and/or runs it in a temporary folder under the Download folder
  78. (C:\downloaded files by default).

  80. If you choose to not install the file right away, EZ Download simply
  81. moves it to the Download folder. To install it later, right click on the
  82. file and select EZ Install.

  84. EZ Download requires pkunzip.exe to unzip files. By default, it expects it
  85. to be in a folder that is on your PATH (which is another environment variable).
  86. However, if that's not your case, you can set pkunzip.exe's location under
  87. Options.
